Our goal is to help people overcome the cycle of homelessness through a Christ-centered recovery model with God's help.
Founded in 1939 towards the end of The Great Depression, Mavel Sherman started Bread of Life in a building on the corner of Washington and Occidental Street in downtown Seattle.
The Bread of Life Mission exists to overcome the cycle of homelessness in men’s and women’s lives through a Christ-centered recovery model with God’s help.
· Respect the lives of those who come to the Mission
· Restore dignity and hope to those who have none
· Share the Gospel with those we encounter
· Encourage others through our action

We are still in need of 40+ volunteers to support our event, including service opportunities such as set up, meal service and tear down. Please join us as a volunteer if you are available!
