Share comfort, joy and peace with a hurting neighbor.
It’s easy to forget that while the first Christmas was certainly joyful, it was anything but comfortable. Mary and Joseph were essentially homeless when our Savior was born, grateful for the rough shelter they were given.
William knows how that feels. He had worn out his welcome staying with a friend and thought he would try his luck in Las Vegas – but he didn’t have enough money to leave Seattle. “I was stuck,” he admits.
As William prepared to find a place to bed down for the night, someone told him about Bread of Life Mission, where he later joined our LifeChange Recovery program.
Eight months after coming to Bread of Life for a place to sleep, William has gained so much more. “I was able to become a better person during my time at the Mission,” he says.
The biggest factor in William’s healing was coming into friendship with the Lord. “Jesus is always with me no matter what I'm going through,” he says. “I always have the Prince of Peace in my heart.”
