10th Annual Memorial Day Celebration
Monday, May 28th, 2018 // 12 - 4 p.m.
On May 28th, we will serve 650 people at our annual Memorial Day celebration, honoring our U.S. Military veterans who make up a substantial part of the homeless population of Seattle.
We are so thankful to those who have served our country and have fought for our freedom. There will be live music and messages of gratitude and inspiration by Captain Mike McNair, retired U.S. Army, and by Dr. Linda McNair.
BBQ lunch will be served immediately following the program at 1 pm.

Captain (retired) Dr. M. Mike mcnair
M. Mike McNair is an energized encourager. From his service as a medic and pharmacy technician in the U.S. Army, at Fort Meade Maryland, to his training and leading and international 15k race for Army, Air Force and Marine troops at Fort Bliss Texas.
His integrated career of service as an active duty soldier in the Vietnam era, to a reserve officer, commissioned by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, to training as a paratrooper at Fort Benning Georgia, returning to active duty for Operation Desert Storm and again in the Air Force in support of OIF/OEF (Operation Iraqi Freedom /Operation Enduring Freedom). All the while, Captain McNair kept his roots in his relationships with God, his family and the community.
Dr. Linda Mcnair, Ed.D. Mssa, lcsw
Veteran, Social Worker, Pastoral Counselor
Linda McNair is a U.S. Army veteran serving veterans at the Cleveland VA Medical Center. Her service as an Army Medic and Pharmacy Specialist on active duty for 10 years blossomed into a lifetime of ministry to veterans, families and the community. She has has provided pre-and post-deployment Marriage enhancement training for Yellow-Ribbon Family Conferences in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Her life of service as a veteran, serving veterans and their families, is a testament to her passion for service to the Kingdom of God.
Bread of Life Mission is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that has continually served Seattle's homeless in Pioneer Square for over 79 years. The Mission provides meals, shelter, hot showers, lockers, clothing and most importantly long-term substance abuse recovery programs for men suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
