Women's Recovery

Christian based long-term support is especially rare. We want to help. We are committed to expanding our services to women and children in need.

We are actively working to raise funds for this very important project. Donate now.

The Mission’s residential and recovery program for women is unique because it is designed with an emphasis on “how women heal.”

The following principles are the hallmarks of our women’s ministry.

Women heal in relationships – therefore relationship building is the hallmark of the ministry.

  • Women need time to deal with their issues – therefore the program allows sufficient time to build relationships and to address root issues.
  • Women need stability, accountability and consistency in order to build trust and allow themselves to break dysfunctional addictive cycles.
  • Women need intentional spiritual interventions designed to restore self-worth, responsibility, hope and faith.
  • Women need multiple and integrated support services in order to heal in every aspect of their life – physical, emotional, relational and spiritual.
  • Women need work programs designed to provide an atmosphere where they can learn how to develop a strong work ethic and positive attitude for successful job performance.

The Mission’s Women’s Residential and Recovery Program will be directed at women:

  • Who have been unemployed for more than a year
  • Who have no income – or state public assistance is their primary source of income
  • Who have no high school diploma
  • Who have addictions to drugs and/or alcohol
  • Who have been arrested for drug-related crimes or have multiple incarcerations
  • Who have been the victim of sexual abuse and/or domestic violence
  • Who have no family support system
  • Who have on-going dysfunctional cycles of abuse, addiction and homelessness

Goals, Objectives, Timeline, Impact
The Mission’s goal is to establish a Women’s Residential/Recovery Center that provides transitional housing and a 9 – 12 month recovery program with holistic and integrated support services for women in King County. Our ultimate goal is to assist women in their transition out of the despair and dependency of homelessness and addiction – to the hope and fulfillment of a life of recovery and independence.
