February LifeChange Grads

This February we were proud to see 5 of our Life Change students graduate. All graduates shared a bit of their testimony to a packed out crowd where friends and family came to celebrate the special day. The graduates continually gave praise to God for the work He has done in their lives. They shared about their journey and how they have found healing at the Mission. We are confident that God will continue the good work he has started in them. Your support makes graduations and new life a reality here….for that we are thankful. Remember to keep these men in prayer as God continues to show them how to walk in wholeness!

2011 Christmas Recap

Bread of Life Mission had a wonderful Christmas! We were able to bless our guests with gifts and 3 opportunities to join  us for Christmas Meals on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This would not have been possible without our generous donors who flooded us with gifts or without amazing and hard working volunteers. We want to thank everyone who came out to help us decorate the mission, wrap presents, and serve meals. You were a blessing and we can’t wait for our next event!

Christmas at Bread of Life Mission

We are looking forward to sharing the love of Christ this Christmas as we reach out to Seattle’s homeless and hurting. We will be serving meals and handing out gifts. If you would like to donate items please contact Alisha at alishah@breadoflifemission.org.

2011 Thanksgiving Recap

This year was the first time we served a Mega Breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. We had an amazing turn out. In that meal alone we were blessed to serve 280 meals. We also were able to serve a lunch and dinner that day to those in need. The number of meals served at Bread of Life Mission on Thanksgiving day was 498! We are so grateful to our donors who partnered with us to provide a delicious meal and to our volunteers who made the day run smoothly.

Heroes Subs Provides Hands-On Work Experience

Do you need catering provided for a business meeting? Are you having an event that includes lunch?

The Bread of Life Mission’s social enterprise business, Heroes Subs (www.heroessubs.com) offers catering for individuals and for businesses. All of the proceeds from Heroes Subs go directly back into the Bread of Life Mission and are used to continue to grow our resources to help the homeless.

In addition to being a legitimate service, Heroes Subs provides valuable work experience as well as a transitional opportunity for the men in the LifeChange Program.

The Bread of Life Mission presents its 3rd Annual Homeless Veterans Day. Join us in honoring the service given to this country by those now in need.

On Monday, May 30th, 2011 the mission will host a presentation in Pioneer Square with guest Speaker Jim Horsley. Jim comes to us as retired US Navy as well as a former Blue Angel pilot. Following his uplifting message will be a BBQ in the street for the hundreds of needy families and individuals in Seattle.

Last year we were blessed to feed 1,200 individuals and hope to provide for even more this year.
