DATABASE MANAGER & Volunteer Coordinator

Reports to: Development Director
Status: Full-Time; $37,500 - $43,500. DOE, benefits & subsidized ORCA

The Bread of Life Mission in Pioneer Square is seeking a detail and service-oriented Database Manager to join the Development Team. This critical infrastructure position will be responsible primarily for the day-to-day management of the donor database. Additional duties may include event support and volunteer management. This position reports to the Development Director. Knowledge of data security and financial data management is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain the overall integrity and quality of the donor database including regular data improvement and hygiene

Database Management & Gift Processing

  • Process incoming gifts
  • Maintain accurate constituent records
  • Enter all gifts and pledges into The Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce
  • Prepare cash and check deposits
  • Create data reports and analysis for President, Development Director and Board of Directors
  • Create and manage mailing and email lists
  • Ensure data security, system integrity and coordination
  • Knowledge of payment card systems and security

Development Tasks

  • Assist with donor campaigns including newsletter, in-house mailings etc.
  • Coordinate donor projects with print and design vendors
  • Coordinate stewardship and acknowledgement program
  • Assist Development Director with calendar and content for social media and data base management for electronic mailings
  • May assist with volunteer program for individuals and groups
  • Other duties as assigned

Volunteer Coordination

  • Volunteer oversight & daily scheduling
  • Volunteer oversight & holiday scheduling (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day)
  • Tours of Mission (as needed)
  • Women's clothing, managing needs, distribution & organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Database management, with preference given to those with working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce
  • 2 years relevant experience in a non-profit setting desirable
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organize work to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and stakeholders
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
